We are living longer healthier lives and it will keep going in that direction, 30 is the new 20 and 70 is the new 90… I hope by the time I reach that age… 120 will be the new 50 !!

That’s just sad. You’d think if people are paying so much monthly, they’d have it better staffed with professionals. But, I guess with the shortage of nurses as it is (at least in my area), it’s hard to get real professionals…so they recruit from the supermarket. Hmm, should I be a cashier or wipe butts for a living?…not a huge shocker that they are so callous towards their residents.

And they need to make it more stimulating than just “1:00 is ‘Art Time’ and 2:00 is ‘Nap Time’, then Crochet Hour…” They may be older but they’re not brain dead! (most of them anyway…)

I agree…I don’t think I want to live to be that old. Of course, I am glad I made it past 35 even though if death at 35 was the norm I totally missed my window for a mid-life crisis in which I have a red sports car and a hot lawn boy!
