Spam vs. Tom = Myspace’s Tom got knocked out!

This is the message I received from Tom, the owner of Myspace. We have all gotten the annoying spam messages and friend requests on the site. Sometimes the spammers hack your friend’s account (called phishing), and use the account to host their spam. Tom is in a constant

fight to stop these spammers, and over the years has implemented different measures. Myspace is plagued with warming messages about “phishing”, to prevent your account information from being stolen. Even with these measures, it looks like even Tom’s account got attacked. Someone was sitting at their computer having a chuckle as they sent out the messages. Funny thing is, almost everyone on Myspace received the same thing. :)

    funny. I run a fake myspace profile called “corporate sponsored myspace whore”. The mail I get from guys who think she is real is comical. Until I realize these guys are real, and depression sets in. Happy thoughts!

    Who hasn’t created a fake pro on myspace in order to fool a bunch of friends into believing they are talking to a model. I have done that a few times before it got old.
